L’Affiche Moderne is a French fine art print e-shop presenting the works of young photographers, graphic designers and children’s illustrators. Our works are high quality digital prints and are strictly limited to 300 editions. Prints can be purchased without any frame or mounting, or you can choose to buy a mounted canvas print, a framed print or a Dibond mounted print, all of them ready to be hung on the wall.
The concept
It all started with a simple observation:
In the past, filling your empty walls posed somewhat of a conundrum. Either you ended up with something that resembled your dentist’s waiting room or something more fitting for a teenager. The bolder ones amongst us tried their hand at stenciling or creating their own masterpieces, more often than not with limited success. In a desperate bid to be original, we hung up ultra-trendy and matchless prints of obscure festivals nobody else went to, or festooned the walls with holiday trinkets or rare record sleeves. You could always go to town by splashing out on THE photo print you had always dreamed of while browsing online art galleries. But for the not such gifted artists amongst us, or those who found the astronomical price of swanky photo prints out of their league, there was a void that desperately needed filling.
L’Affiche Moderne is not only targeting this public but more broadly anyone out there who appreciates photography, graphic design or illustration. We’re here for all those who despite a shoe-string budget, would like to get their hands on an original and high quality work.

Our selection criteria are quite simple: if it’s original, of good quality and we like it then we’ll select it. We’re always on the look out for new talent so all artists are welcome and can submit their work if they think they are coherent with our overall aesthetic policy. L’Affiche Moderne is not only a print e-shop, it is also a fantastic stepping stone for breaking talent and emerging artists.
Our posters’ quality
L’Affiche Moderne’s prints are digitally printed on a high quality semi-gloss 200gsm paper. Canvas prints are digitally printed onto high quality Fine Art 350gsm satin canvas.
Numbered limited edition
Our posters are strictly limited to 300 editions for each format (two formats available: one small, and one large). All prints come complete with a certificate of authenticity detailing the print number.
Our Format
- Mounted Canvas Prints
Images are printed onto high quality Fine Art 350gsm satin canvas using the best UV resistant inks and stretched over a hand made melamine wood frame ready for hanging.
- Framed Prints
The framed print is presented with its black or white made in France solid wood frame. Frame sections are 21mm-wide. The print is mounted with a museum-quality white border mat. Shiny float-glass. Timeless, it instantly and simply highlights your print. The framed print comes ready to be hung on the wall.
- Dibond Mounted Prints
To recreate a gallery aesthetic, very contemporary and design, the print is mounted permanently onto a 2 mm Dibond plate of the same size which at the same time forms the back board. The result is a very clear, open and immediate presentation of the print. With a hook provided to be stuck at the back of the Dibond, the print is ready to be hung on the wall (please note that you should wait 12h/24h after sticking the hook before hanging).
Shipping
If you have purchased an art print which is neither framed nor mounted, it will be shipped in a triple protection tube. It will be sent within 1-8 days, except during holiday times mentioned on the L’Affiche Moderne website. If you have purchased a framed or mounted print, it will be sent within 1-2 weeks for the mounted canvas prints and frames, and within 1-4 weeks for the Dibond mounted prints. Prints are sent via colissimo service, the shipping cost being added to the cost of the print order.
Order and shipment confirmation
Once you submit your order and the payment is approved, L’Affiche Moderne will send you an email confirming all the elements of the order. A few days later, when your order ships, we will e-mail you a shipping confirmation and tracking number.
